In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Teddy Bears For kids
Thank you to everyone who has donated in Zoey’s name. Because of this on September 9th, National Teddy Bear Day, over 400 New Teddy Bears are being given to Children in Hospitals around the US specifically in Zoey’s name, these Teddy Bears will even be accompanied by a little blurb about Zoey.
Teddy Bears for Kids gives The teddy bears, without cost to hospitalized children to help young patients make it through stressful situations a little easier. Since 1986, Teddy Bears for Kids has brought this and more to hospitalized children nationwide. Through relationships with 65 hospitals and partnering organizations, they’ve reached 80,000 sick kids nationwide. Their goal is 100,000.
On a very personal note, Zoey loved stuffed animals more than anything else, when thinking about her passing I know this would be something she would have loved to be a part of. It would have made her so happy to know other kids got special cuddlies because of her. On occasion when Mommy was sad or sick Zoey would bring me something to cuddle from her room and then ask me if I was all better, she was not only cute but had a very kind heart. It really makes me proud of all of the people who have donated in Zoey’s name and continue to donate, I can see Zoey’s sweet kind soul through the good works of others.
